“Tranquil Grove” is a unique piece in that it’s a bit of a return to my roots in Russia; something I haven’t done as much in my more recent work. For those who have never been there, Russia is rich with birch trees. When I think of my homeland, I am often reminded of the woodlands in which I played as a child. I can still remember the character of those slim white soldiers through which we ran and dodged in games of tag; or remember standing alone peeling off a few layers of the blackened bark in times of introspection. The birch is a special tree to me. Coming to Canada, and painting Tranquil Grove, has taught me that it’s a special tree to many others as well.
This is a fine art print of an original watercolour painting by Olga Cuttell. It’s been printed on high quality Epson paper in 5×7, 8×10, 11×14, 16×20, 20×24 and now 24×30 inch sizes. It is no coincidence that these are all standard sizes, as Oladesign is committed to helping its customers enjoy Olga’s work affordably and with as little additional effort/expense as possible.
