“Faithful Expression” is part of the second wave of my Bouquet series. Unlike my first wave, which has a lighter and sharper (almost bouncy and bubbly) feel, Faithful Expression tries to capture a deeper more romantic sense of the moment a woman is given flowers by her lover. My lover doesn’t like giving me flowers. He says he doesn’t like the symbolism of giving me something bright and colorful that quickly wilts and dies. Too many of life’s loves start and finish this way, he says. Of course, I love being given flowers, so I gave “Faithful Expression” to myself; a flower that will not wilt and will never die. Now I give it to you.
“Faithful Expression” shares complimentary colors with a wide array of Olga’s other work, but is a perfect fit with both “Blossom Reach” and “Morning Glory”. While often found in living rooms, reading rooms and sun rooms, I enjoy Faithful Expression most as a ‘welcome home’ entryway piece.
